LATITUDE60 LTD decides how personal information is used through Here4Legal. In data-protection law, this makes it the controller. The company is registered in England and Wales, number 14841042, at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
To contact us about personal information, use the website form and choose “Privacy”, or write to us at that address.
Information you send us
When you contact us, we receive your name, email address, chosen topic, message and any page link or other information you include. For correction and removal requests, we may also need evidence of your connection to the listing.
Please leave out confidential legal documents, health information, identity documents and payment details unless we have explained why something is needed. We use your message to respond and investigate your request.
Information in the directory
We receive professional and business information from the SRA, including firm and office names, registration numbers, dates, addresses and contact details. Some of this may identify individuals, such as sole practitioners.
We use it to publish and maintain the directory, help people check firms and correct errors. We rely on legitimate interests for this, balancing the public benefit of the directory against the rights and interests of the people listed.
Keeping the website and contact form secure
Our hosting provider may log your IP address, the time of your visit, pages requested, the response and information about your browser.
To limit repeated form submissions, we keep a protected, coded version of your IP address with recent submission times. Your full IP address is not stored in that separate record, although it may appear in hosting logs.
- We use this information to prevent spam, fraud and attacks on the website.
- We also keep records needed to investigate requests, explain important listing decisions or deal with legal claims.
These uses normally rely on legitimate interests. We also use information where necessary to meet legal obligations, including handling formal data-protection requests.
Who receives information?
Our hosting and email providers handle the information needed to run the website and deliver messages. We may share details of a correction with the SRA or another information provider when necessary. Where practical, we tell you or remove personal details that are not needed.
We may disclose information where lawfully required. We do not sell your enquiries, pass them to firms as sales leads or use them for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep information
We may keep information longer for a dispute, legal requirement or active investigation, or delete it sooner when it is no longer needed.
- Routine enquiries: normally up to 12 months after the enquiry is closed.
- Records used to limit form submissions: removed by daily maintenance once more than 30 days old. Individual submission times stop affecting the limit after one hour.
- Hosting security and access logs: kept according to the hosting provider’s retention schedule. You can ask us for the current details.
- Correspondence about corrections and removals: normally up to six years where needed to explain the decision.
- A minimal record of a removed listing: kept for as long as needed to prevent it being republished.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see your personal information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its use, or object to how we use it. Information being available from a public source does not remove these rights. Some requests may be subject to legal exceptions.
Choose “Privacy” on our contact form or write to our registered address. We may ask for enough information to confirm your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
